This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies provideregroup.com uses, what they are for and how they can be managed. An ordinary visitor to the website does not receive any cookie.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device, through your browser, to remember information between requests. They may be necessary for a website to work, or be used to measure audiences and serve advertising.
Cookies this website uses
The website does not use analytics or marketing cookies, has no visitor statistics tools and does not embed third-party content, such as videos, maps or social media, that could set cookies of its own. The fonts and the video at the top of the site are served by the website itself. For that reason, anyone who visits the public pages does not receive any cookie, and the website does not ask for consent to cookies.
Administrative area cookie
The website’s administrative area (/admin/) is used only by Providere’s team to publish content. Anyone who signs in to that area receives a session cookie called ‘providere_admin’. It is strictly necessary to keep the session signed in, exists only for the duration of that session, expires when the browser is closed or after 2 hours of inactivity, and is restricted to the /api/ path of the website.
Because it is strictly necessary, this cookie does not depend on consent. It is not set for ordinary visitors and is not used for analytics, advertising or tracking.
Technical data that is not cookies
Like any server, the website’s server records technical data about each request, such as the IP address, the date and time, the page requested and the browser, for the operation and security of the website. In the administrative area, a code derived (a hash) from the IP address of failed sign-in attempts is also recorded for up to 24 hours. These records are not cookies and are described in the Privacy Policy.
Visitor statistics in the future
If Providere starts to use visitor statistics, or any other technology that relies on non-essential cookies, it will ask for your consent before setting them, and this policy will be updated accordingly.
Managing cookies
You can view, delete and block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the ‘providere_admin’ cookie only affects Providere’s team, who would no longer be able to sign in to the administrative area. For any question, please contact info@provideregroup.com.
